12 months after the ban on Coles and Woolworths shopping bags the Victorian Government is introducing a ban on plastic bags for all retail outlets. Currently, Victorians are using a billion bags a year their shopping.
The impact on the environment due to single-use plastics is well documented yet there is still resistance to finding and using alternates to plastic.
Better yet, why don’t we recycle the soft plastics rather than throw it away? After all, it is a product made from oil which can be re-purposed using Newtecpoly technology.
